California Real Estate Practice 10th Edition (Loose-Leaf Version) Now in FULL COLOR, this all-new 10th edition contains TWO NEW CHAPTERS which deal with requirements brought about by passage of SB 1495. This legislation requires that, starting January 1, 2024, any person sitting for a real estate salesperson’s license exam or a real estate broker’s license exam must have completed this three-unit real estate practice course that contains, among other requirements: (i) a component on IMPLICIT BIAS, including education regarding the impact of implicit bias, explicit bias, and systemic bias on consumers, the historical and social impacts of those biases, and actionable steps students can take to recognize and address their own implicit biases (New Chapter 16); and (ii) a component on FEDERAL AND STATE FAIR HOUSING LAWS as those laws apply to the practice of real estate. The fair housing component shall include an interactive participatory component, during which the applicant shall role play as both a consumer and real estate professional (New Chapter 15).
